The Orion Ensemble is a chamber music society of which a piano-trio is the permanent core. It was founded in 2000. The Orion Ensemble gave many concerts on Dutch podia characterised by limitless programming as for style, time and country, in which especially the so-called cross-over programmes are popular. One of the strong points of the ensemble is linking up classical, jazz, Jewish, Spanish and Argentine music in an original way.
