The Schubertiade on thursday the 22th and friday the 23th of january 2009 in Emmen was a great succes. Two times the hall was completely sold out, thanks to the perfect organisation of >Bibliotheek Emmen, >CQ and >Stichting Grote Kerk Cultureel.
On thursday the 22th of january the film The double life of Franz Schubert was shown in the library of Emmen. As an introduction to the film there was a lecture of Leonard Leutscher. The next day, on friday the 23th of january there was a concert in the church of Emmen by the Orion Ensemble with the first pianotrio and the Trout Quintet. For this the ensemble was extended by viola-player Prunella Pacey and contabass-player Ying Lai Green.
